Prepaid Credits
Prepaid credits let you pay for bookings in advance and save money on hourly rates.
What Are Credits?
Credits are prepaid funds you add to your Metrognome account. Each credit is worth $1 USD. When you book a space, you can choose to pay with your credit balance instead of a card or bank account.
The 10% Discount
Book hourly, save 10%. When you pay for hourly bookings with credits, you automatically get a 10% discount on the hourly rate. The discount is applied at checkout — no promo code needed.
This discount applies to hourly bookings only. Subscriptions and other booking types are charged at the regular rate.
Buying Credits
You can purchase credits from a few places:
From the Credits Page:
- Visit the Credits page or click Credits in the navigation
- Choose from the available credit packages
- Select your payment method
- Complete your purchase
From Your Account:
- Click your account name in the sidebar
- Click Add Credits
- Choose a credit package and complete checkout
Credits are added to your account immediately after purchase.
Checking Your Balance
Your credit balance is shown on your Account Overview page. Click your account name in the sidebar to see your current balance along with your other account details.
At checkout, your available credit balance is also displayed when selecting a payment method.
Using Credits at Checkout
When you have a credit balance, Credits is automatically selected as your payment method at checkout. You can switch to a different method if you prefer.
- Complete your booking and proceed to Checkout
- Under Payment Method, credits are pre-selected if you have a balance
- If you have enough credits, your booking is paid in full
- If you don't have enough, you can pay the remaining balance with a card
You can also combine credits with another payment method if your balance doesn't cover the full amount.
Credit Expiration
Credits expire 18 months from purchase. Each credit purchase has its own expiration date based on when you bought it.
Credit Grants & Promotions
Sometimes you may receive credits as part of a promotion or campaign. These credits work the same as purchased credits and appear in your balance automatically.
Claiming a Promo
When there's an active promotion you're eligible for, you'll see a button in the navigation bar showing the available credits (e.g., "25 Free Credits"). Click it to visit the promo page and claim your credits.
If you've already claimed the offer, the button won't appear, and the promo page will show "Already Claimed."
Promo Terms
Promotional credits may have different expiration terms — check the promotion details for specifics. Each promo can only be claimed once per account.
Refunds to Credits
When you cancel a booking paid with credits, the credits are returned to your balance (subject to the studio's cancellation policy). Refunded credits keep their original expiration date.
