Managing Your Subscription

Once you have a lockout, managing it is simple. Here's how to stay on top of your subscription.

Viewing Your Subscription

To see your lockout details:

  1. Log in to your Metrognome account
  2. Go to My Account at /account/overview

Here you can see:

  • Your current studio and location
  • Monthly price
  • Next billing date
  • Subscription status

Understanding Your Billing Cycle

Your subscription renews automatically each month on your billing anchor date—the day you chose when signing up.

A few things to know:

  • Same day each month — If your anchor is the 15th, you're always billed on the 15th
  • Month-end dates — If you chose the 31st, you'll be billed on the last day of shorter months
  • Dates in your timezone — Billing dates display in your location's timezone, so they match your local experience
  • Payment receipts — You'll get an email receipt after each successful payment

Insurance

Insurance protects your lockout with additional coverage. You can add insurance at any time from your dashboard.

Adding Insurance

  1. Look for the insurance offer on your Dashboard
  2. Tap the offer to open the insurance selection
  3. Choose an insurance tier — each tier shows the monthly cost
  4. Select when to start:
  5. Add now — Insurance starts immediately with a prorated charge for the current billing period
  6. Add at next cycle — Insurance starts on your next billing date with no charge until then
  7. Review the invoice preview showing what you'll be charged
  8. Confirm to add insurance

If you have multiple lockouts, you'll be prompted to choose which one to insure.

Viewing Insurance on Your Subscription

Your reservation detail page shows a breakdown of your monthly charges:

  • Lockout amount
  • Insurance amount (if active)
  • Total monthly subscription

Updating Your Payment Method

Need to use a different card? You can update your payment details through our secure Stripe portal.

  1. Go to My Account and find your lockout
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. You'll be redirected to the Stripe customer portal
  4. Add your new card and set it as default
  5. Remove old payment methods if you'd like

Changes take effect immediately. Your next billing cycle will use the updated payment method.

Payment Issues

If a payment fails, don't worry—Stripe will automatically retry a few times. You'll get an email notification so you can update your payment method if needed.

To avoid access interruptions, make sure your payment information stays current.
