Getting Started with Monthly
Ready to get your own dedicated studio space? Here's everything you need to know about signing up for a lockout.
Choosing Your Studio
Before signing up, you'll want to pick the right studio for your needs.
- Browse available locations on the Locations page
- Check which studio sizes are available at each location
- Consider your space needs—solo work, band practice, or equipment storage
Studio sizes range from Small (S) to Extra Large (XL), with pricing that reflects the space you're getting.
Signing Up for a Lockout
Once you've found a studio you like:
- Go to the location page and find the Monthly Lockouts section
- Select your preferred studio size
- Click Get Started or Sign Up
- Choose your billing date (more on this below)
- Enter your payment information
- Review and confirm your subscription
That's it! You'll receive a confirmation email with your next steps.
Selecting Your Billing Date
When you sign up, you'll choose which day of the month you want to be billed. This becomes your billing anchor date.
For example, if you choose the 15th:
- You'll be charged on the 15th of every month
- Your subscription period runs from the 15th to the 14th of the following month
Pick a date that works with your budget—maybe right after payday!
Payment Setup
We use Stripe to securely process payments. You can pay with:
- Credit or debit card
- Some digital wallets
Your card will be charged immediately for your first month, then automatically on your billing date each month after.
What Happens After You Sign Up
Once your subscription is confirmed:
- Access code — You'll receive your personal access code within 24 hours
- Move-in ready — Your studio will be cleaned and ready for you
- Welcome email — Check your inbox for location-specific details like parking, amenities, and house rules
Most members can start using their space the same day they sign up. If you have questions about your specific move-in timeline, just reach out to the location.
First Visit Tips
For your first visit to your new lockout:
- Bring your access code (check your email or the app)
- Plan some time to get familiar with the space
- Feel free to start moving in your equipment right away
